Well MacRumors, rejection has "graced" my life once more.

See, there's this girl I've had some pretty strong feelings for for about 7 months now. I met her a year ago, took her to my senior prom two months later, and that's where I realized how truly amazing she was. She never saw me in the same light, though. She never had feelings for me despite the post-prom-and-after-prom cuddling (Seven hours worth in my bed). She never even knew how I felt until over a month ago when I finally told her, and she immediately told me she wanted a different guy. After a month of trying to win her over, I'm done.

My iTunes is pretty much my sanctuary and I need a few good songs that can help me get over this whole mess and focus more on my studies (19 credit hours this semester, so I really don't have time to dwell too much on it).

Any recommendations?

metro station - now that we're done

Pretty much the best song for a situation like this.

Sorrow ~ Pink Floyd
Glycerine ~ Bush
Run ~ Collective Soul

...whatever you do, stay away from songs like "The Scientist" from Coldplay. Stay away from the stuff that's too down.

That's What You Get - Paramore
September Brought The Fall - Farewell
You and I Both - Jason Mraz
Miserable at Best - Mayday Parade

"Walking Away" by Brother Ali

Bridge:
Since you never listened to a word I ever said,
Maybe seeing this door slam will get it through your head.
I don't love you, I don't think I ever did,
And if you hadn't tried to kill me I'da stayed for the kid.

Chorus:
There's nothing more for us to say,
Got my mind made up, I'm walking away,
Sometimes we just outgrow the role that we play,
Hope you find a happy ending to your story someday.x2

99 Problems - Jay-Z :)
Heart Breaker - Pat Benatar, just don't be caught singing it

I'm not a fan of rap but the lyrics for the bridge are amazing.

Let It Be ~ The Bealtes ~ From Let It Be (1970)

The Long and Winding Road ~ The Beatles ~ From Let It Be (1970)

Hey Jude ~ The Beatles ~ From Hey Jude (EP) (1968)

Yes, I know that they aren't available on iTunes, but the CD's are readily available, and they are also readily available from other channels of distribution. Hey Jude is my favorite for when I'm feeling down. After listening to it a few times, I start singing McCartney's lines during the na-na-na part, and it makes me feel loads better.

Got another few, What A Catch, Donnie and Tell That Mick He Just Made My Day, both by Fall Out Boy

I don't care for McCartney or the Beatles, but I'd recommend also Dance Tonight by Sir Paul. It's the only song I have even remotely connected to the Beatles, and is in my Uppers playlist.
