Moving on to iPhone 4 from 3GS question

Do I need to go to the phone store for activation or can I just cut my 3GS sim and put that into my iphone 4 and that would be it?

As long as it has a microSIM you can activate it via iTunes, or you could cut your current SIM card down

the 3gs uses a normal sim and the iphone 4 uses a micro. you will need to transform your current sim into a micro to use it in the iphone 4. wont fit otherwise. google or youtube how.

The iPhone 4 will come with it's own sim. You just need to transfer service from your old phone to your new phone which you should be able to do from iTunes. No need to mess with sims.
