I am trying to move my photos from my old Mac to my new one , tried migration assistant but this caused major problems on the new Mac and I had to completely erase the hard drive and reinstall the OS , (Catalina). I then copied the photos library to an external hard drive and connected this to the new Mac but every time I try to copy it from the external drive to the new Mac it just decides that I want to store and view my photos from the external drive , if I try to use import it just says their are no photos on the externL drive. HEEEELLLLLPPPPP please

Thanks but that doesn't help as Ive already moved them onto external storage- the problem is getting them off of external storage and onto my new Mac
