Using Avid Media Composer 5.5 on a new 13" Macbook Pro.

Using a regular keyboard you can move the timeline position indicator precisely just by typing the sign + or - and the number of keyframes. Now... how can I do this on a MacBook Pro keyboard? I guess it's some kind of keyboard shortcut I am missing, I just can´t find anywhere.

I would appreciate any tip on this. It's a simple feature I need to use all the time!

On MacBooks I think you have a numlock key on F6, which gives you access to the numerical keypad that is on the right of the keyboard by the return key...

It used to be like that on my old iBook, but not on the MacBook Pro anymore.

Anyway, I asked in the Avid forum and found the answer: double clicking the control key first lets you make a numeric entry using the regular number keys!

Thank you

Thanks, didn't know that. Always take an external keyboard with me with a numpad for editing on the road or with a client.
