I have an older, upgraded G4 (1GHz, 1GB RAM) running 10.5.4 that I use as an iTunes server. The iTunes library is on an external 500 GB Firewire drive, and it's Time Machine backup is on another external. (Boot drive is backed up by a different method.) Performance is suffering on the computer (iTunes 7.7 runs very slow and I hesitate to install 8 yet) and I want to re-install 10.5 from scratch. I originally took it from 10.4 to 10.5 via Archive and Install, and I've tried improving performance with an A&I re-install, no help. I've backed up the boot volume to a disk image on another drive. My question: Since I'm wiping out the drive, I'm "breaking" the Time Machine configuration that backs up the library. The snapshot of the old boot drive contains all the old config info. Is there any documentation on what I need to copy from the old config to the new install to keep Time Machine running uninterrupted?

Thanks
