Hey, i am currently in Japan and have an iphone3g using SoftBank.
Unfortunately i need to move very soon back to israel. In israel they dont sell the iphone at the moment, but they might do so later on.
I was wondering if there is anything i can do about it? I called SoftBank and they said i cannot return the phone and pay a penalty. The only option is to cancel the contract pay the full phone price (around 800$) and thats it.

I was wondering if apple will sell an Iphone in israel is there any thing i can do to my current Japanes iPhone 3g so it can work with legitimate israeli 3g sims ?
And if they dont sell the iPhones in Israel, is there a way to buy a service to make the phone sim unlock (like those apple sell in Hongkong and italy ) ?

Thanks
Roee
