I'm thinking of buying an SSD as a startup drive for my Mac Pro - yes, this IS a software question. I'd like to install Lion and my apps and games on this drive, and leave everything else on my existing 1TB HD.
Normally when you install the OS onto the new drive it will re-create the User and related items on that drive. Is there a simple way to tell the installer to put the System on it, but leave everything else where it is? IE, when I boot up Mail, I want it to find the actual mail on the HD where it is.
Any advice?
