Hey all, currently in the US and am a Verizon customer. I'm considering purchasing the new iPhone 13 Pro and I would be buying it outright, so it will be unlocked.

The thing is, I'm moving to Europe (Netherlands) around the beginning of next year and I wanted to know if I will be able to activate and use the phone on a phone plan in that country?

Ideally I'd like to buy a phone in the US before I move as it will be a good bit cheaper than buying one in the Netherlands. I'm, having a hard time googling this as I keep getting results about Verizon's travel pass, which is not what I need to know about.

Thanks!

As far as I know all iPhones are compatible with European carriers. As long as the phone is unlocked. I am in Germany and I can use any German SIM card in the phone.

Verizon phones are now all unlocked from the factory. And while Apple lists two different versions on their website, they appear identical to me as far as the radio bands used. The differences in models may simply be a matter of pre-loaded carrier software.
