Hello all,

I've got a Verizon iPhone 5 with about one year left on my contract, and I'm planning a move to Paris in the next few months. Any advice about how best to proceed? Just cancel the contract here and take up with a French provider? Any recommendations for options over there? I've got little international experience using the phone, so any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

Is your Iphone locked to your current carrier? How much cellular data are you expecting to use per month? Do you need 4G?

edit: going to sleep, expect next answer sometime tomorrow.

Verizon unlocked it prior to traveling for short periods. I currently use close to my 2gb data plan each month, but have never gone over.

Definitely get some sort of french contract for Data. When I lived in Paris in 2011 i had i pay as you go sim in my blackberry and it didnt include data :( i asked if i could add it in the orange france store and they said it was only available on contract. What a joke! Also pay as you go phone credit expires in France, which is ridiculous!
