Moving up to El Capitan

Hi.
I have an old Mac Pro running 10.6.8. If I update to Yosemite or El Capitan, will software like FCP 6 and Photoshop CS6 still run ok?

I don't use FCP but I do use PS CS6 regularly and it runs just fine. However, Bridge does not (yet) recognize any external device to import files from cameras or card readers in El Cap. It's a known issue talked about on the Adobe forums. I am now forced to use Photos to import my pics and then transfer them manually to Bridge to open in CS6. I don't know why it's taking Adobe so darn long to fix this issue.

There is no Bridge issue on Yosemite. Works just fine!

AFAIK, web traffic seems to indicate the FCP 6 works in El Cap.
