now everybody has a "lab"
google lab
yahoo lab
etc, etc

Mozilla lab: http://labs.mozilla.com/featured-projects/
now has four project, two of them now have materialized addons for downloading, the other two are still in developing

1. chromatabs, color ur tabs, the difference between this and colorful tabs is that this extension assign color to tabs according to the websites, my guess is it use some formula to calculate the color according to the string of the website's name. It can also assign the color according to the color of the icon of that website.

a good case is like, when u were phished into a fake paypal website(hopefully never happen), when u input ur info, and press submit, the phishing site normally will jump to real paypal and ask you to re-input password again, u will see the color of the tab is changed in this process, like an alarm, then u can change ur password ASAP to avoid damage. :D

2. Operator

Operator lets you combine pieces of information on Web sites with applications in ways that are useful. For instance, Flickr + Google Maps, Upcoming.org + Google Calendar, Yahoo! Local + your address book, and many more possibilities and permutations. All of these scenarios are possible due to Microformats, an emerging standard for injecting semantics into HTML.

3. Coop
