Hey all,
Dont want to get ravaged for not using the search function, but my questions are simple and rather than troll through pages of spam for the occasional nugget, I'd simply like to get a handful of informed information...
Sp I'm about to take shipment of a 2008 Mac Pro + 23" Apple Screen - Yay (G5 ATM). Like many others I cannot be bothered waiting any longer and it is quite literally a steal (think more than $1000 and less than $1500 AUD ;-)
Now I know this thing will be significantly faster than what I have but I just seek some general do's/dont's/handy hints for setting it up.
One thing I'm looking at is GPU - would like to make a dual boot badboy (win7), knowing the stock GPU is average at best would a GTX285 suffice or am I better off sticking with default GPU and plugging in a new average PC GPU to use for some occasional gaming (FPS) on Win boot only?
Any handy hints for performance increases or any facts that could prove to be valuable are greatly appreciated
