Got a strange problem with my 2008 Mac Pro (2.8 Quad) - when the machine is asleep it will sometimes power off. Switching it back on shows that it wasn't a clean shutdown - checking iTunes library, rebuilding iPhoto database etc - just like if you yanked the power cord out.
It does this if I set it to sleep from the menu, as well as after the 15 minute energy saver timeout.
It's not power cuts or a dodgy PSU as (touch wood) it's fine when in use. I've tried an SMC reset, still the same issue.
I think it's connected to Mountain Lion as it's only recently started doing this.
Any ideas?
