I’ve got a 6,1 (E5-1650 v2, 2x D500, 64 GB RAM) that won’t power on. Original owner said it just stopped turning on one day.

Port lights don’t light up. I don’t see any LEDs on when the cover is off.

Where exactly are the diagnostic LEDs? Is there a button I need to press to turn them on? I assumed they’d be easy to see with just the cover off.

It sounds like it can be hard to troubleshoot a 6,1. Is no power at all a sign that the power supply is likely dead?

The Mac’s never been taken apart by the previous owner. I think they even had Apple do the RAM upgrade from the original 16 GB.

I've one with the same situation. I've just replaced the power supply and didn't work.
