I have a 8 core 2.8 with the standard Radeon 2600 in it.
I just got a Dell 24" ultrasharp (widescreen) to go along with my 22" Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB CRT
So one is widescreen and one is 4:3 and at first glance the setup works, 1920x1200 on the dell lcd and 1600x1200 on the Mitsu CRT.
However everything on the Mitsu looks slightly squished. Looking at a perfect circle is the easiest way to tell that something is wrong.
So in doing some testing, I had a perfect circle up on the CRT and I kept trying different resolutions until the circle looked round. Turns out if I run 1792x1344 or 1400x1050 the circle appears round. Running 1280x1024 looks stretched horizontally as opposed to squished horizontally like 1600x1200.
This is really weird because all 4 resolutions have the same aspect ratio. Is this some strange bug?
