I have a Cowon iAudio7 player, which doesn't mount on Mavericks. After upgrading to Mavericks it doesn't show as a volume.

It works on my other macbook, which has SL, but not under Mavericks.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? Something to do with the USB ports or the file system?

Thanks!

If you open System Profiler (in the utilties folder), can you see the "presence" of the player on the USB bus (even if it doesn't mount)?

Something "with the file system" might be a good guess (although I'm not sure exactly what)....

Just a guess...

I live in China. I am amazed (not really, I am used to it now) at the copy products that are available here. I have to look at the ports to see if they are copies or Apple products.

I suspect that Apple is including code in the system to refuse to connect to devices that are using patented technology without permission.

If I ran Apple I would do just that.

Where is your mp3 player made? Hmmmmm?
