I don't seem to be able to solve an apparently stupid problem. I made a series of mp3 files (for a .mov presentation) with garage band and then saved the files in itunes. Everything is good, but once in itunes, the mp3 files become automatically three seconds longer than the original ones made with garageband. I tried to look for settings, preferences, etc. in itunes without success. Aargh. Anybody knows how to fix this problem?? Thanks in advance.

Is the file really longer or is this just iTunes (or GB) displaying the wrong length.

I've had similar problems with iTunes conversions. When I used it to convert aiff to wav it would add a few seconds of silence onto the end of the file. Now I regularly use it to convert aiff to mp3 and it adds 0.07 seconds onto each file.
