I was wondering if there is a free mp3 splitter that is simple and easy. i tried audicity, but found it a little complex, and hard to make many splits in. does anyone know of any freeware i could use?

agh i tried that too but u have to purchase it to make it from having all those stupid waiting times. if worse comes to worse i can use it tho

how do u make more then split selection in garageband? and then how do u make it split?

Splitting mp3s in Garadge band

Drag your MP3 into garadge band and drag the control to where you want to split the music. Then click edit > split. Then you must click off of your selection so the music goes to a lighter orange color, then click on the selection you want to delete and hit delete. Then to use your selection as a ringtone or as an MP3 go to share>send movie to itunes. This will bring your selection to itunes. It is considered a movie, but I use these as ringtones for my blckberry and when I add them into my audio library on my phone they work just fine. Hope that helps!!:)

Or you can turn on the loop mode (in GarageBand) and make the yellow bar (at the top) include what you want to save.

The loop icon is next to fast fwd. Looks like this

Does anyone know of any software that will batch split mp3 (or other music file formats) into sample length tracks? I have over 400 tracks that I want to trim down to 20 second samples to put online.

I have tried Macsome's AudioSplitter, which is about that only one I can find that claims to do this, but it doesn't work. When more than one track is selected the 'split' option is greyed out.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Thanks

Marc
