Hi

A reallllly stupid, basic question

I'd like my MacBookPro to open ALL mp3s (either those on the machine or over a network) to open using Quicktime rather than iTunes.

I can't find the option anywhere... anyone help?

Also, is it possible to get iTunes to automatically add mp3s that get saved in a specific disc location, ie: I d/l an mp3 from a webpage, and iTunes automatically adds to the music browser?
Is this something I'd need to use the Automator for?

cheers!

Find one of your mp3's in finder

Right click on it and select 'Get Info'

On the Info panel you'll see 'Open with:'

Change this to Quicktime and press the Change All button which will then change it so that every mp3 opens with quicktime.

As far as I know iTunes does not have the ability to monitor folders and automatically add to the library
