I need a good suggestion for a converter, I'm currently using Toast Titanium and it is PAAAINFULLY slow. I used to use VisualHub, but it was discontinued. I'm using a mid 2012 13 inch MBP with 2.5 i5/8GB/256 samsung 840 Pro, I know its not the fastest machine in the land, but it should not take 62 hours to convert a 1GB mp4 to dvd... Unless I am doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Have you tried handbrake?

Why are you even burning DVDs in this day and age? Just hook up your MBP to the TV and you're done.

Handbrake does everything I need but convert to DVD. I normally just convert to mp4 and stream to my apple tv, but its for a friend and he needs a DVD, unfortunately. Im trying iDVD, although alot faster @ 10 hours, I'd prefer something that didn't take half a day.
