I've had my Canon MP 830 for about 3 months now, and it's starting to show up with this major problem (or at least for photo printer-problems). I have no idea what happened, but apparently the printer remained inactive for about a whole week, maybe longer, and when I turned it on, it asked me for "Langauge" as if it was resetted completely. It was connected to my PC but Windows acted as if there was a new printer driver they needed to add in ("Found New Hardware").
Now, I checked all the settings for photo printing (via media card: SD, MSPD(via adapter)) and I get completely new settings for photo paper. I can't find "4x6" anymore, and it's replaced with "Hagaki" and "2L" and "L". My PC doesn't even recognize the computer either.
PLEASE HELP! I need to print something for the family and my dad was bashing me when I told my mom to purchase the MP830. We've had an unfortunate run of luck with multifunction printers (Lexmark, HP, Epson) so he was very against the purchase. If he finds out that the MP830 is ****'d up, he's going to go ape **** on me.
