So I just got my first mac - a MBP 15" w/ the 7200rpm hd. LOVE it so far!

On my old toshiba windows machine, I kept it plugged in almost 100% of the time that I was using it, and then unplugged it when i was done. I went through 4 batteries in 3 years, and they ALL hold a charge for literally 5 minutes before they die.

I don't want this to happen to my mbp, so what should I do? I use it at my desk about 90% of the time, and it is very easy to keep plugged in all the time when I'm using it, but is that bad for the battery?

What do you guys do for charging patterns? Thanks!

I remember reading something about the ipod wall charger - that it stops charging when the ipod is fully charged - does the mpb do something similar? thanks!

I leave mine plugged in basically all the time, I occasionally unplug it and drain the battery down then plug it back in, just to keep it healthy.
