mpb for electronic engineer(15" or 17")

Hello! I am electronic engineer and i want to buy for first time macbook pro.
I am beetwin the 1)15" 2.2ghz,
500gb 7200
6790m 1gb
HR - AG
and the 2)17" 2.2ghz
500gb 7200
6790m 1gb
AG
The 17" mbp has 200 dollars more.

I want it for matlab,java programming,sql,reading plenty of pdf's,writting word documents,browsing the web etc.

Which one do you suggest to me?Thanks

if you don't need the screen size then just go with the 15'', it's basically the same machine.

in which model the keyboard is better for writing code and documents? Moreover in which model the screen resolution is better for reading pdf's.Thanks

I was in the same situation.. I choosed the 15" only because of its size..

When i Work from home I Use my extended display in Pivot mode, so i have the 24" 16/10 1920X1200 i Vertical mode, Works great for me.
