MPB Hibernation User Invoked?

I know the MBP will auto-hibernate when it is on a low battery. However there are time when I don't use the MPB and I thought it might be handy to put it into hibernation even when the battery is topped up, but I won't use it for a day or two.

I recently slapped on Windows 7 on a Dell Mini 9 and I'm finding hibernation as opposed to sleep handy. Am I missing something on the MBP regarding hibernation? Is there a utility that would work here?

There is a dashboard widget called Deep Sleep that I use.

I guess as a hack you could put it to sleep, wait until the hard drive is off (and safe sleep is done saving the contents of memory) and pop out the battery. But it would be a lot better to use one of the previously mentioned software solutions.
