MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 to avi

Hello, Can anyone help me?, I have a Sanyo Xacti and took video in the best format possible MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (family vacation). Now it happends that I need to convert this movies to be able to use them (create family videos etc). I would like to convert them to avi format but I dont manage to find software for mac capable to do so.

Any ideas?

AVI is a wrapper format that may contain video and audio tracks in several different formats. Do you have a particular reason for converting to converting your videos to .avi? What formats do you want for your video and audio tracks?
