MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b8 missing mp3 option in audio exporter?

Hi,

I'm trying to extract the audio from an mp4 video file to mp3 format and don't have the option with the newest version of mpeg streamclip. I can only choose from AIFF, MP4 AAC, or MP2. I used to be able to select mp3 with 1.9.3b2 on my older Macbook Pro running OS 10.7.5. I'm currently running OS 10.8.2 on my new Macbook Pro. Any solutions?

Export it as WAV or AIFF and then use iTunes to transcode the AIFF or WAV to an MP3.

Yeah, I know I could do that. I wanted to avoid the extra step and figure out why the option is no longer available. In the mean time I decided to just use All2MP3.

Need DIVX

Need to get the DIVX plugin for mp3 to work on MPEG Streamclip.

I did it and I just ripped about 3000 MP3 files from MP4s

DivX with codecpack does the job

You should download the latest DivX including codecs from http://dist.divx.com/divx/codecpack/DivXInstaller.dmg
After a restart of MPEG StreamClip, the "export audio" dialogue shows mp3 again.
