MPEG Streamclip Help!

I've ripped a DVD and it looks great when I view it on VLC but when I play it on MPEG Streamclip it's pixelated and dark. I've tried many different settings but nothing has seemed to work. I've used MPEG Streamclip many times, but never had this problem. Any clue what I should do?
