I'm using MPEG Streamclip to encode some video to play on my PS3 (currently states its unsupported data), and wanted to know what settings I need to use. I have gone to File -> Export to AVI, and selected H.264 and Apple MPEG-4 but none of these fixes the unsuppoted data message on the ps3.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? (would perfer avi as it's supported by my media center)

Thanks, any advice would be appricated.

Maybe Handbrake is the better choice? But I don't know if this "media centre" thingy supports .mp4 files.

Thanks for the info. Trying to encode the file using Apple Motion JPEG A codec and hopefully it will work. Will update as I find out more.

Update: No luck, checked media center documentation and it seems to play mp4's too. Will look into this. Thanks again for your help.
