MPEG2 1080i 29,97: Compressor shows me as 23,98 progressive

Hi,

I am a new Mac User (I have Imac I7 2011 with Lion 10.7.3) and I am starting to use Compressor 4 for my needs.

In these days I would like to use Compressor 4 with some files (to reencode them to H264 to save space), tipically mpeg program stream, 1920x1080i, Video MPEG2, 29.97fps (with telecine), Audio AC3.

If I import one of these files in Compressor, Inspector window shows me this file as progressive 23,98 fps.

Mediainfo, Videospec, ImediaHUD or ffmpeg shows me (correctly) 29,97 interlaced.

Do you know why Compressor shows me wrong informations about frame rate?
