Hi, I've recently upgraded to tiger and i'm having difficulty playing back m2v (mpeg2video) files in quicktime.

in OSX 10.3 I had installed the MPEG2 Playback package for Quicktime 6 so I could play back mpeg 2 files in finder and quicktime. I tried installing this in tiger, but as I have quicktime 7 pro it doesn't work.

However there doesn't seem to be a way to an equivalent download for Quicktime 7 on the apple site.. does anyone know how I can activate this??

cheers
Niall

I too am searching these forums as since upgrading to Tiger i can no longer play m2v files.

I also had this problem when I upgraded. I was able to fix it by installing the mpeg 2 component from DVD Studio Pro which I had on another computer. The Quicktime 6 one works with Quicktime 7.
