Hi everyone,
I have ripped a DVD of an old wedding video into a VIDEO_TS folder.
But the video have the wrong aspect ratio (4:3) and looks squeezed (horizontally compressed).
With MPEG Streamclip I can convert to MPEG2 without transcoding. This also can be done with ffmpeg or mencoder.
My question is how can I change the MPEG2 aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9, keeping the video stream unaltered? Just changing the aspect ratio flags.
Stream info from MPEG Streamclip
Stream: VTS_01_1.mpeg
Path: ~/Desktop/VTS_01_1.mpeg
Type: MPEG program stream
Duration: 0:48:59
Data Size: 1.78 GB
Bit Rate: 5.20 Mbps
Video Tracks:
224 MPEG-2, 720 × 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps, 7.00 Mbps, lower field first
Audio Tracks:
128 AC3 2/0, 48 kHz, 192 kbps
Stream Files:
VTS_01_1.mpeg (1.78 GB)
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
