Got video file with a mpeg2 codec. Actually, full codec says Linear PCM, Timecode.

Anyone know if that type of codec is supported in Final Cut Studio? I have FC Express which apparently doesn't support it.

Tried several different go-arounds, but no luck. Still a novice on most of this video stuff.

Help please!

Linear PCM refers to the audio side BTW.
If it's an MPEG2 file convert it using MPEG Stream clip as mBox noted, but you must also purchase the mpeg2 decoder for quicktime from Apple to do this legitimately. MPEG Stream clip will not be able to see the codec otherwise.
