MPGs converted to DV through Streamclip have no audio

Hi all,
I have a bunch of camcorder videos that I want to use in Final Cut Express. I'm using MPEG Streamclip to convert the original .mpgs to DV format (I heard this was the best format to convert to when using Final Cut). But when I convert, the final DV file has no audio.

I tried importing the DV into Final Cut then rendering both audio and video, but , no love. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. -Linda

Do they play in VLC with audio?

Final Cut Express accepts mov and mp4 better

Select "export to Quicktime" and 100% quality and Streamclip will make a .mov with sound.
