MPlayer X doesn't work with Mavericks

For me Mplayer X was the best video player for Mac OS.it played almost every popular format.Unfortunately since Mavericks it can't open files at all.I have tried 3 OS X new installations and it couldn't play no file, .avi, .mp4, .mkv etc.

I don't like VLC because there are some daemons which once started don't stop and occupant a lot of the CPU resource.

Any recommendations?

Have you updated? The latest version is 1.0.19 which fixed some problems and is compatible with Mavericks.

Download the latest version of mplayerx from mplayerx.org. It works flawlessly with mavericks.
