Anyone use MPlayerX? I read about it on macrumors and thought I'd give it a try. So far I'm liking it but I wanted to know how it's better or worse than vlc which I've been using for years.

I really like it too. I found Quicktime X having a lot of trouble playing .avi files under Lion. VLC was no problem, but I think I like MPlayerX better than VLC.

I just tried MPlayer OSX Extended, and when I go File/Open, I just get this big Grey box and Open is greyed out and I have to hit Cancel. Not usable for me under Lion.
Hmmm, you're right i never noticed that because i always open videos by double clicking them.So not deal breaker for me.
