I have three 4K displays connected to my Mac Pro, and the first is connected to the AMD's HDMI output. The other two are connected to the Thunderbolt ports using USB-C to HDMI cables as found on Amazon. What I should have done was just get three of those USB-C cables, but: I didn't. Well, the results are that: because the HDMI port shares bandwidth with Thunderbolt bus 0 on the cards, I can't have:
I basically have to skip a port, or move both Thunderbolt connections to the second channel. So, for instance, this works:
