Ok, so call me crazy, but when did the MR Calendar go bust? I don't look in on it that often, but at least every once in awhile I'll check to see who's birthday fell when or some such thing.

Today, I was curious to see how many people had a birthday on the 1st (since that's my daughter's birthday), and I noticed a couple of strange things:

1. There is no calendar data beyond 12/31/2006. That is, it is impossible to get to a calendar after that date, not just that the calendar is blank.

2. There are an inordinate number of birthdays on 1/1, so I'm assuming there's a default somewhere that leads to that.

In any case, is there a reason the calendar's down? Does anyone else even care? I'm not sure I even care, but I am curious.

1. I'm seeing the same thing. Can't remember the last time I checked the calendar, but it was definitely within the last year, so something has changed. Perhaps when we moved servers?

2. It's not a default, but a lot of people who don't want to enter their real birthday simply put January 1.

For some reason the calendar was limited to 2000-2006; I fixed that, but it's not something that could (well, should) have changed unless done manually, so.. *shrugs* :)

Isn't there an option to not list the age? Or not list the BD at all.

Go ahead, blame the new admin if you like. I know you guys just promoted me so that you'd have a scapegoat when things like this happen. :D

MacNut, go to Edit Profile and see the Privacy drop-down menu.

That is what I thought so why would someone just list Jan 1.

Because you have to enter one to register, so if you don't plan on telling the truth, it's easiest just to pick the first option in each drop-down menu.

It's on the honor system, but we'd like people to be honest when registering. Clearing or hiding the date of birth is perfectly acceptable afterwards.
