Does anyone know what Jonathan Ive's email address is?

I have tried jive@apple.com but no luck.
I wish to email him and i can not find his address anywhere.
I used the above because SJs is sjobs@apple.com. Oh well. Thanks if anyone can help.

BTW - i will cough this for about a week or two.

So any particular reason you want to send him an email?

I'm thinking unless you find a friend of his or an apple employee willing to talk you're going to be out of luck.

D

Yeah. Besides I'm sure he's read the board already and has a price on my head. :D If I disappear, you know who to point the feds towards.

Bury me with my mac.

Actually - i wish to clarify i few things about the new design before i plonk any dosh down for it.
Dont worry, i will post my email and his response here so all can see and comment.

Unless your question is personal (ei "were you on drugs when you designed this?") there are probably hundreds of people who could answer your question who would be more likely to have/spend the time on it. And if it is personal, it probably isn't your business so you'll get blown off anyway.

I suggest you spend a little of the enery you're using trying to get straight to the top and find someone in the middle who will actually be able to help you.

meh - oky then - any suggestions? I do not want to use apple feedback because generic responses annoy the heck out of me.

well... this is kinda shady but.....

you could call up apple and ask for mr. ive. tell them you're doing an article for a publication, and you hade some questions about the design decisions he made....

(shaking head) when will i use my powers for good, and not for evil?!?!

Anybody finds out... you'll be dug up quick.

Anyway, how are people burried in New York? I've never really thought about it, but when you said that and I saw your location, it made me wonder.

I ask because I know people in New Orleans are "buried" above ground in crypts because of the sea level...

anyway, in order to not to be off topic... benixau, I'm curious what you'll be using the information for. Is it for an article you're writing or just personal reasons?

knowing benixau, i have a feeling he wants to do this solely for personal purposes. but that's my opinion...why don't i let him answer for himself instead.

just for the record, I'm not endorsing this strategy at all...

Anyway, if this guy really wants to talk to Ive, he'll find a way...

Umm, stalker?

Maybe he wants to try to sell his design, a'la Tom Green in "Freddy Got Fingered."

Do you drive a LeBaron?

Wow, this seems awfully random, doesn't it?

correct for the most part. I am doing it for personal reason mostly. I also am wanting to ask a few questions about the desgin that have been floating around here for a while.
Not things like - did you get you inspiration from thrwoing a cheese grater in the trash - but things like - how has the problem of dust been countered.

i can answer that one- they didn't think about it at all....

i'm willing to bet that'll be among the first set of major complaints from people who bought the G5.

no computer is made "dust-free". every machine i have seen collects dust.

and benixau, don't you think if you actually sent Ives a message that he would just send you a random email back, directing you to apple's hardware specs pages? you will probably learn more a lot easier when people have these machines in late august.

maybe - but then they will also loose alot more money. I have been given the chance to sell a few of these machines (client is inerested cause of my own MDD).

I need to know this because otherwise i may have to overlook these.

As i said above - i dont mind if it isnt Ives himself, just as long as it is someone who can actually answer my questions with some degree of knowledge. Not a generic email. Thats all.

Take a look in the G5 Developer Note (pdf) to see if some of the questions can be answered.

It goes into a lot more actual technical detail about the machine's design than the tech specs on the Apple.com page.
