I predict that in the next few days one of MR greatest mysteries (well it's a mystery to the majority of us commoners :p ) will be solved - what comes after 601? A certain (we all know who I'm referring to) member is quickly approaching the 10,000 post mark and I'm just wondering what everyone thinks the next ranking will be. I don't really have any idea, but I'll take a guess at "G3". ;)

Oops, I must have missed that.

And I have no idea why it's in the picture gallery, I swear I posted it in the community section.

I must have smoked something without knowing it.

Wasteland.

yeah, the thinner the better. i really think that apple could make a 1.2 cm thick macbookpro. that would be enough space for a dvd/cd drive, harddrive, screen, and everything.

that would be gnarly

Thanks buddy. It's actually pretty scary. I'm almost starting to feel like a bit of an ol' regular. :D
now what you want to do is put all them 10,000+ post together and make a book out of them :D

congrats BTW

I say you should get a gift of some kind, free therapy maybe?:p

The official "congrats" thread for mad jew can be found here.

No use continuing this thread, as it is no longer a mystery. And actually, it never was a mystery - some members were obviously just out of the loop and didn't know what we've known for a while. :p ;)

The mystery is what would this member's rank be.

Well, we already know 10,000 posts = 603 and 15,000 posts =604 (with the possibility of having 603e and 603ev as very limited rankings in there.

After that, my guess would be 750 at 20,000, and 7400 at 25,000. Of course you could have short-term rankings around the two as well, such as 7410, 7447, 7450, 750cx etc. so it is anyone's guess I suppose how granular the MR Gods care to be.

The only thing to be wary of is that some avid posters are moving through history at far too rapid a pace. We're going to run out of processors eventually (or catch up). Somehow, being a Core Duo doesn't seem as interesting as being a historical processor.

I figured the MR mystery was "what happened to Lacero?"

...was wondering the same thing...first a thorougly entertaining post about '25 Pet Peeves', then lots of quality discussion, then silence.

Maybe the Men in Black paid her/him a visit ;)

I think it should stick with G3, 4 & 5. Apple never used the 750 and 7xxx names, at least not from a marketing point of view.
