MR pages loading slow..

Is it just me or is MR going slow for some reason?

In any browser, even after clearing caches, rebooting, etc, the progress bar hangs for about a minute before displaying anything on this site.

I can load the page in about 3 seconds if I hit the "stop" button at the top of Safari, but this results in pages without the "Post Reply", "New Thread" etc buttons and is also very annoying to have to do each time.

What's goin on?

According to Knox thread, some changes were made to the server for load shedding reasons. Whether or not this has to do with this, I'm not entirely sure.

I figured some type of change was going on, but usually there is a thread created by someone asking why or a mod/god explaining what's happening, so I wasn't sure if it was just me or not.
