With all the new updates and such, I got a few screenshots of Mr slowdowns... Looks like ARN took down avy's... the MR site was quite good, with only a few minor slowdowns at times.

EDIT: Wow 520 members online!

I can't believe there was a user with the name fudgepacker and i didn't know it, now that is funny:p

Awesome, although what I really want to find out is the official stats. Did this break last events records? If it did they are really figuring it out because MR was very snappy considering the load on it.

According to the "most users online" stat on the main forum page, the record stands from 01-10-06.

If there was wireless on airplanes, or if Newark had free wireless (like PDX...the only place I have found it all over the world), then I would have been on. Sadly, I had to settle for watching Kill Bill 2 and Pulp Fiction (yes I got weired looks from the people nest to me) until my battery died after an hour because IP Broadcaster was using 99% of both cores of my MBP. Needless to say, that program is now gone. :)

I was on a Lufthansa flight last month that offered internet access. Of course, it wasn't cheap - something like $15 for 3 hours.

You could always invest in one of those 3M screen "hiders" that allow viewing only from directly in front of the laptop.

ABQ has free wireless (if there are enough, maybe there could be a sticky of airports that have free wireless...)

Frome where to where were you flying? I've only taken Lufthansa flight from Portland to Frankfurt. Yesterday I was on Continental, the airline where their main perk is that they will occasionally give you the whole can of coke instead of just the glass. I have heard about SMS service on Quantas (I think) in business class, but never wireless.

Eh, if they don't like it, they shouldn't be watching. I wasn't watching porn or anything, and it wasn't a little kid sitting next to me, so I'm not going to worry about it. Although on the flight from Portland to Newark this woman watched V for Vendetta over my shoulder the entire flight, then when we landed spent 10 minutes complaining to me about how scary it was and how she wont be able to sleep. I was ready to clobber her.
