Really nice update. The Amber Skin made a big difference for me. Not sure it was there before but now I can delete files after I am done with them (using it for watching DVR Files). I believe had to activate this in the options.

For some reason I can't connect this to my server, it always says operation timed out on one of my apple tv's. The other one is working fine but that started out on the first version and then got upgraded to 1.2

The one I can't get working was installed as 1.2

I know it's not the Apple TV or my network as infuse and nastify player work fine same as on my other Apple TV.

So I think it relates to the 1.2 install somehow.

I'm using smb with IP address and username and password exactly the same as I always do.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Did you try deleting it from the ATV and reinstalling?
Yes I did that and I got the same issue afterward.

Thanks for the idea though.

Many thanks I just had to enable libdsm for smb servers in the settings.

I guess it was on by default on the first Apple TV going from 1.1 to 1.2

And off by default on the second one using 1.2.

Thanks again.

Just to update it seems the MrMc v1.2 libdsm for smb servers setting the downstairs one is set to off (default) and works fine, but the upstairs one has to be enabled to work ?

very confusing.

Scott: would it be able to have your client connect with PMS? I believe VLC can do this. I love their server, but you always made better ios clients. I would love to be able to bypass their transcoding.
