MS Entourage - how to use database from external hard drive

Is there a way to get the Entourage email database off of your internal hard disk and onto the hard drive such that it will use the database from the external hard disk and not the internal drive?

I want to do this instead of always having to archive/export my mail for backup purposes. I always time machine my external drive, so this would save me a step.
