Can't sign on recently. Error msg:"Sign in to Microsoft Messenger failed because the service is not responding. The service is not available or you may not be connected to the internet".

Tried another MSN account on Mac, works well.

On PC desktop the same username and pswd work too.

Tried to turn off firewall, the same failure message.

Tried to uninstall and reinstall, the same failure; tried to restore from TimeMachine, the same failure message...

Anyone experience such issue recently??? Or any possible solutions???

Thanks in advance! ;)

Same here

Very strange indeed. This happened recently. Me @me.com msn account doesn't sign in at all, and has the same errors as you describe.

My @home.nl msn account works fine, but I wasn't really using that anymore.. so I'm stuck.

I have tried deleting account history in messenger by deleting the com.microsoft.. etc and plist files (look into messenger help for that). That did fix it for a short time, but the error is back again.

I had this, what you have to do is click the "sign in with a different account or change your online status" then click clear account history and re enter your details. Youll be able to log in then, until you have to do it again....

MSN 8 has so many bugs, its truly awful.
