MS Office 20??

I am going to be purchasing a macbook soon for college, and for some of my classes I am going to need word and excel. Before I buy MS office, when do you all think the next edition is going to be put out?

MS Office 2008 is supposed to be released in the second half of 2007.

I'd imagine later than that. The only thing MSFT will say officially is "second half of 2007," but the assumption is that it will be sometime in the fall.

Yeah... I would not hold my breath for MS to work extra hard to get this out in time for any sort of back-to-school push, so I would expect it to drop late in the year....
