I recently installed Office 2008 for my Macbook with:
Processor: 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2 GB

When I type in Powerpoint with in an empty text box its fine, but when the text box gets filled more the response time for typing decreases greatly. My Processor is only at around 25% and it happens in both .pptx and later versions of Powerpoint

Any ideas?

I don't like to be negative, but honestly... in my opinion Office 2008 sux... especially PowerPoint

I wish I had some good advice, but I don't

Have you installed all the latest updates for Office? You might need to do this manually from the Help-Menu, depending on your preference settings.

Current is 12.2.4

I run Office on a similar setting and I have never experienced any noticeable delay.
(also 25% processor load is quite high, I would say my average is about 5%)
