MS Office to run on Powerbook 5300c OS 8.1

I need a MS Office suite to run on my old Powerbook 5300c running OS 8.1.

All I want to do is read some old files, and possibly get them off of the powerbook.

Suggestions? What version of Office do I need? the 5300 is memory limited so I doubt if I could load a newer operating system on. Seems to me I tried OS 9 once (maybe I still have it) but ran into memory problems)

The Office I was using was company licensed at the time so I have no disks. Had to reload the OS at one time so lost Office.
