We have installed a new server at our office (running on MS Server 2003) with the result that I cannot conntect to the server from my Mac. From several pages I learned that this is due to stronger authentication requirements by the Ms Server.

I have downloaded the "fix" offered by Ms, MS UAM Module. However, the problem is that my Mac does not recognize that I am trying to log into a MS 2003 server and uses standard Apple authentication instead of the UAM Module. I have reinstalled UAM repeatedly, so it does not seem to be a problem of the UAM Module Software. Did anyone of you experience similar problems and has a solution?

I would appreciate any help I can get.

P.S.: our administrator does not want to weaken server security by disabling secure authentication for macs.
