MS Word acting weird on MacBook

I am having an issue with my MS Word. It started refusing to type a Capital-D. Instead it would jump to the bottom of the first page of my form. Lately it has started not allowing me to type quotation marks """".

I do not believe it is my MacBook because I can type those characters without issue on this forum and in emails.

Any ideas?
