ms word download for mavericks

is it a good idea to try and find it download it and use it...and where and how...make any sense to anyone.--cant seem to get a good feel for it one way or another ...hence you guys- thank you very much

I don't believe that Microsoft sells Word as a stand alone app any more. You can either rent it via Office 365 subscription, or pay for a standalone version of Office. Consider this - are there features in Word that you absolutely have to have that are missing in Pages that you're willing to pay mondo-bucks to the Empire to have?
